Dark Zone

This 13 foot tall animated demon from Scare Factory dominated the Dark Zone.  He is flanked by two smaller animated guardians.  The movement on this Juggernaut was understandably slow and limited, but his sheer SIZE was enough!  We were thinking that something this large would be really cool in a stone or metallic paint job to look like some great statue that comes to life.

Left, is a close up on the Demon head turned out pretty good, although our digital camera really didn't like taking pictures in the Dark.   On the right is one of the pop up zombies.

Our favorite thing at the show was this shaking zombie.  On the left is an actual picture from the show, right  is a shot of the Scare Factory catalog picture so you can see how it was hung.  This Animated corpse shook and writhed on his chains.  We kept thinking that  it really needed a fire pit underneath or maybe live rats crawling on it.

Other assorted props that we found amusing as we walked around the main floor.   Top left is a costume, center is a "barfing" zombie, right is Susan's favorite cute little Count.  She just wanted to take him home and keep him as a pet.  His red LED eyes seemed to follow you as you walked by.  Below is an extremely disturbing corpse on the ground.  Maybe this is extra bad when you live as close to Noble, GA as we do.

This Fat Zombie from Distortions was kind of fun.  You never see a fat one.  He sort of rocked back and forth shaking his zombie vittles.  The catalog says it has a sound track, but Susan doesn't remember hearing anything.  Perhaps it was just lost in the general den of the show floor.

More Corpses.  The Gut Corpse on the right is from Cinema Secrets.  Jeff asked the sales rep why all the corpses were so small.  The rep replied simply "Shipping."  Ahhhhhh.....
